Yoga - yep, you read that right, yoga

Q: What do yoga and team culture have in common?

A: That a stable base leads to more potential for creating flexiblity and space.

🧘‍♂️ In yoga, concentrating on grounding means making whichever part of the body as heavy and stable as possible to allow the other parts of your body to move more easily. It's not about the pose, it's about creating space and strength in flexibility.

🧘‍♀️ In your team, one grounding technique is fostering a culture of psychological safety. The team feels safe to share, learn and test, coming up with ideas without fear of blame, rejection or reprimand. It's not about a perfectly shaped idea, it's about being able to create space and flexibility, thereby increasing the strength and impact of what you do.

Here's me doing a 'pigeon pose' this morning. Concentrating on grounding, rather than a perfect pose.
P.S. Have you any idea how tricky it is to photography yourself doing pigeon pose?! Try it out for a laugh and see if your arms are long enough...
